Losing my best friend

I can certainly feel your pain and am sorry for your loss. I lost my best a few months ago. She passed two days before her fourteenth birthday. You can't really prepare for that loss regardless of their age.

Never thought I could get attached to a dog, but boy howdy they can sure get to you.
Boomer is family…..2 yrs old and I couldn't imagine what we'd do if something happened to him.
10 weeks old

Nothing is harder than losing your best friend
My wife and I lost our sweet Millie girl on Halloween to an aggressive liver cancer that took her so swiftly
Millie was a five year old
German shorthair pointer
She was the best in the field and in our home
She was the sweetest soul
It is different when your dog is old and sick you prepare yourself for the inevitable
But to have them taken in the blink of the eye
Is vastly different and very hard to take
Rest in peace my sweet girl

I agree with one of the other posters.
Get a puppy. It may not replace the love of the other but I say will add to it.

Been there myself we had a dashound that was a little human dogs clothing his liver shut down I we had to put him to sleep spent 3000.00 to save him

Could y'all tell what dog food you were feeding, there has been allegations that some manufacturers have ingredients that are poisoning our animals.View attachment 614852 All gone now old picture.
The black dog ( Bear ) was the best dog I ever had followed by the ridgeback.

Hill's science diet lamb meal and rice for dogs 1-6 years old
She was raised on it
