Looking for knowledge on the 7.62 X 39 Cal rifle.

I have a Ruger 77 Mark II, blued in a walnut stock that is almost 100% for sale for $650

Send me a pm if you are interested

So I don't doubt the accuracy. My cheapest at is a psa 300 blk and it hold sub .5" moa.
In fact I even shocked my self this past week in Texas and was able to make consistent hits on the steel at 400 yards. Was 1.5 moa steel. Couldn't believe it.
My bca 350 legend does not do anything special at 100 but doesn't seem to open up much more at 300. Gets slightly larger than moa at 300 with factory ammo.
It's all luck of the draw.
I can say the ruger minis do seem to shoot very well.

I got lucky.
I have nothing bad to say about BCA and I am willing to purchase another upper from them when the time comes.
At the prices they charge, I am not expecting a custom built and finely tuned shootin' iron.
It would be silly and a waste of everyone's time.

Yes all luck of the draw. I bought a 350 legend upper a month before iowa deer season paid full price.
It has not fired 2 shots in a row ! Nothing but problems. Have had 2,people look at it and still have not got it running. Not a BCA , which is the one I should have bought.
So i am little Leary buying any upper again. But If I do I think it will be the BCA. Martyb

Whoever built it should make it right and make it run in one trip. If they can't, they owe you a refund.

When you send it to them send the upper and lower so they can figure out where the problem is.

In this era there's no excuse for anyone turning out a crap AR that won't run.

Will that is easier said then done.
Internet full of issues with the 350 legend. Just like the 450 bushmaster couple a years ago. A lot of issues with bolt carrier , magazines , gas tube lengths , springs. etc. every one wants to blame the other guy.

Not really, they built it, it doesn't work, it's there responsibility legally to make it work or refund your money.

I am going to send it back to them. Will see what they say.
Magazine company rep already sent me a email with pictures on how to grind their $19.00 magazines down. When that did not work they sent me more pictures and said I am not grinding them down far enough and sent more pictures and said like this ...... So it's not as easy as one thinks to get a 350 legend UPPER running. I know. Some have bought great quality Uppers , I did not. Uppers are a little different breed of cat. Not tied to a FFL s/n so company warranties vary. Like poster said I will need to send their upper back with my lower than the blame game starts. When I do get it running I will report back. But back on my post here. I am leaning on this BCA complete gun in the 7.62x39. I think there are under $550.00 and then I have to pay a 28.00 Transfer fee. I think I have a better chance on buying complete gun going bang , bang , bang then just the upper. Ha ha ha.MD

In all honestly I'd say look at an AR in either 6.8spc or 6.5x47L if you can't get this one to run.

the 6.8spc is an extremely underrated round out to about 400yds. I've taken something over 400 hogs and sixty plus deer with my mini 14 in 6.8 including some monster boars well over 450lbs. The factory Nosler ammo and SSA ammo with the 110gr accubond is a great performer on game and won't blow up coyotes or cats if you want to keep good hides.

Either way, best of luck, I know how frustrating it can be to spend a bunch of money on a custom AR only to find it won't run. I had 3 years of hell with a .260 AR I bought.

Will I have a AR 6.5 Shaw creedmoor.
I bought s/n 68 after gun test magazine did a test on them a couple years ago against some $2500.00 guns. I have been very happy with this gun. It's a 24 inch threaded SS barrel. Cost was $1040.00. They have gone up some but shoots a honest 7/8 inch group at 100 yards with federal ammo. I have a bushmaster 16 inch gun that is a few years old with A D760 night vision I think it is called a V-match model. That is also a 1 moa gun with factory black hills blue box anmo. And then I have a Anderson AR in a 223 that needs a lot of work , it's a 2 moa gun. So sometimes you win sometimes you get a 2 moa gun. So hope to get the 350 legend upper sent back to factory this week and hope they can get it running. MD
