Looking for public or private land, no more than a days hard drive from Kentucky, to hunt hogs. Would prefer private land, will take public land if someone knows where the hogs are recently. Couple of disabled vets on tight budgets, so not interested in game farms or guided hunts or paying $300+ each for the chance to shoot a hog(Last one of those I went on, I felt like I shot someone's 4H project that got out of the pen).

I have looked into Tennessee and Arkansas for public land but no recent posts to let you know what WMA to go try and the State agencies have not been of much help either- they know they are out there, just not able to pin point anyplace.

Thanks

Sapper 229, if I get something lined up here , I'll give you a holler. LOL.. You won't find any 4-H project hawgs here though.... LMAO..I have just started getting some permissions on pieces of private property to hunt. So, if this snowballs what I'm doing, we may be able to show ya 'al a hunt. Right now we just have archery spots. All 6 of us have got a lot of experience in hunting, Rifles, pistols, black powder, and we have all hunted a lot of different critters.

Grandpa sets up the spot
grandson and Son get in stand
grandpa goes to his stand 100 yds away in woods
12 to 15 pigs come out to bait.
Both hunters fire at the same time, hitting 2 pigs (both are spine shots)
The other 10 + pigs all take off, heading for grandpa's stand.
Granpa hears the shots and unloads rifle , drops shell.
climbs down from stand and gets 10 feet from stand looking for bullet.
Hogs stamped through, fast! Grandpa has an empty rifle
and grandpa jumps a couple rungs up on ladder.
Pictues grandpa took are blurry , because he was still shaking. LOL

That's the frigin truth too..LOL
