You might want to check on EBay for checkering tools. I have seen some decent sets go up for auction or "buy it now". I have some fairly decent checkering tools, but always looking to upgrade if I find something that I like and figure it could be useful. I don't really do enough checkering to buy an expensive set. I usually will hope to find the correct LPI tool/s to do a minor repair on a stock and that is it.
