Looking at getting my first can. Suggestions?

Otter Creek Labs gets my vote. Low key company they do a nice job I own 3 of them currently.
 
Somehow I find it hard to believe I'm the only F-Class Shooter on the Forum. Yet most of my experience with cans came at Government expense, and Uncle Sam has rather deep pockets. Still,

Some of us are stuck in states that do not allow a tax stamp, so I hope suppressors will be removed from the NFA. The way things are going do look pretty good, but it's sure taking a long time. I'm looking forward to hunting with a suppressor. 🤞
 
I see a TBAC is widely recommended. My pops was purchasing a can recently and I asked about the TBAC. The salesman said the backlog is over a year to get one. Any truth to that or was the guy blowing smoke because he wasn't selling them?
Edit: lead times may be something to consider if it actually takes over a year for a TBAC.

I heard 12-16months directly from TBAC
