So I'm looking at getting my first can. I'd like my first can to be a little more multi purpose until I can build up my stable of cans. Building a house right now so until that's all squared away I'm only getting 1 can.

Mostly hunting, living on my bolt guns. However I would use it on my gas 5.56 for precision work. I don't have any desire to just blast away with my 5.56.

Id also shoot some prs matches with it since they just opened a suppressor division.

Cans I've been kinda looking at are the Scilencer co Scythe TI, Dead Air nomad, TBAC ultra 7, anything along those lines. I don't want anything really heavy and long. I noticed the TBAC cans seem to be quite a bit pricier than the rest. Any suggestions are welcome.

Tbac has an awesome reputation, I haven't used them, personally.

I have a sico harvester evo, only marginally heavier than the scythe, but a fair amount cheaper. Suppresses as well as a much larger volume can that I have as well.

There are many, many good options out there. I would look at a few considerations such as: what's the biggest cartridge you may end up suppressing, and what's the shortest barrel length you might use it on. Many are only rated for a specific maximum caliber at a minimum barrel length.

Of course, once you get started you may find your options for the above criteria may change drastically 😬

I don't think you'd go wrong with any of the suppressors you listed, honestly.

Biggest cartridge would be 7mm rem mag. Shortest barrel would be a 16in 5 56. It would mainly live on a couple creeds.

I would think any of the above would work then, but haven't checked out the specs on them. I'm sure some other TBAC users with experience with those cans will chime in. I doubt you will regret any of those you listed though

Titanium is going to heat up much more rapidly and tends to have more mirage after just a couple of shots. It also cools fairly rapidly. Stainless, inconel or similar will give more shots before the mirage but cools more slowly. If you want max suppression a longer suppressor is a better option. I have been looking at a Scythe Ti and a Banish Back Country for my next suppressor just for weight savings. If you want a cheaper, compact suppressor that isn't super lightweight and isn't the most quiet, Gunwerks 6ix was my first. Now they have a 6ix Ti. They're a good design, modular to an extent. I should mention I'm also looking at B.O.S.S suppressors because of the muzzle brake.

More than a few Scythe Ti's have blown apart.
Mine did this weekend.
