Long range scope for hunting

Haven't looked through vx5hd glass so I can't off an opinion. I will note that comparing scopes in a store or outside in the bright of day says little about how they'll do in low light/long range conditions.

see my review on the huskemaw. it tracked true and has more features than the scopes mentioned by most here. it also is reliable mechanically again better than most mentioned.

The Huskemaw really had my attention until I saw their choice of reticle. Otherwise it would've been my first choice. I still may get one for another application on a 6.5x55 I use frequently!
