My sons and I shoot in a monthly vintage military rifle silhouette match. Chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams at 220 to 550 yards with "as issued" military rifles.
Recently, the range that we shoot the silhouette match at had a "long-range" match. My son and I shot the long-range military match using our Swiss rifles and GP11 (Swiss surplus military ammo). The match was shot at paper targets at 300, 500, 600 and 800 yards with "as issued" military rifles. We both had a great time and did alright--he got a 307/400 with his K31 and I got a 333/400 with my 96/11. We were bested in the "Swiss" category by another Swiss shooter using GP11 and a 1911 who scored a 364/400.
I attached the results
