I am trying to work up a load for a 7mm 08 and would like to here what people are having success with. I am thinking I will use 168 bergers or 160 sierras. Anyone have any advice? thanks in advance.

I would recomend Lighter bullets (120 to 150grs) for deer size game and 160gr bullets
for Elk size game because of velocity and energy at POI.

For targets= 168 SMKs or Berger's.

For deer I use 120 Ballistic tips @ 3010 ft/sec with great results.

J E,

What powder are you using??

My pet load is 49.5 grains of H 414 , CCI BR primers and the 120 grain Noz Ballistic tip.

The only down side to 414 is that it is heat sensitive and can change velocities.

I have tried all other suitable powders but none were as accurate (.053" 5 shot @ 100
yards).
