Those guns I have one too. They are 9 twists. So 120 are your best and mag box limits you, I would pit a whyatts box in it for the newer longer bullets. Good luck..

Yes the Mag is short Rem 600
120 TSX is the bullet i plan on using
I used the 125 NP @ 55.0 of IMR 4350 for years
With all the new powders it's kinda overwhelming.

got a 660 in 6.5 mag.what do you fell is a good 100 or 120 grain bullet for deer.the max range will be about 200 yards for this gun in the area i want to hunt in.

Just about any bullet in that range. Sierra, Hornady and many others. Flat base is fine, boat tail is fine.

Watch that many of the 100 grain bullets are varmint types and may be too explosive on deer. I know that things are tough to find right now, but I suggest something in 140 grain.

got a box of nosler 120 balistic tips for my 6.5 magnum.what would be a good powder for it.i have a can of 4350 now and will try to get some 4831 hogden in a couple of weeks

Hello, I had a light mountain rifle built within 16 months of Remington's announcement of this cartridge. It worked well for decades for me with its 24 inch barrel and medium length Mauser action that allowed me to seat the bullets out further than the factory ammo. MY barrel was a 1-10 twist. I loaded it hot and that was its best accuracy. Originally The Hornady 129's worked well and eventually they were replaced by Noslers Accubonds at 130 grains. 4831 at 54 grains gave away to H4350 at 52 grains with an oal of around 3.00
