Load for accuracy

I always develop a load to find the best accuracy. When I find the best grouping load, I pull out the chronograph and record the velocity. That is only for setting up my range card for my Swaro Z5 to know where to hold for the hashmarks on the reticle.

edited to add: It is a .340 Weatherby, and the best accuracy load is within 50 fps of the Factory published velocity.

I load for accuracy but expect to stay within 100fps of book maximums. Let's face it; no one wants their 7mm mag to shoot at 7-08 velocities even if it shoots well there. I'm not at all interested in exceeding book maximums. If you exceed the book maximums there is a fair chance that you are also exceeding the recommended pressure, even if you don't see any pressure signs.

Yes - there are always exceptions but this is how I view it.
