I recently ordered Bean's Wind Challenger 650 fill goose down (not duck down) parka.
FEATURES:
1. No sewn-thru seams, thus the Wind Challenger name
1. Down Tek DWR water resistant down treatment (this DWR really WORKS)
3. Over-the-helmet hood for use when snowmobiling, skiing, etc.
4. Rated "warmest" on Bean's rating scale so likely to below zero
5. $349. Yeah, "spendy" but $261.75 with approval for a Bean Master Card.
So, due to getting the Bean parka I'm selling my Eddie Bauer -30 F. expedition parka, size Large, for $200. including shipping. Not enough bitterly cold weather in Nevada to use it regularly. (I've only used it 3 days!) It is also "helmet compatible". This parks sold for just under $400.
