I understand your situation. I've been through a number of boats ranging from 16' to 27'. Sold them after decades of use. Salmon are not in the cards for me in my neck of the woods. This retirement thing is an awakening. Although it is an adjustment, I still love getting out on the water with some of my old buddies. I find the tranquility of taking a buddy out and fishing the local streams and rivers to be one of my favorite things to do in the warmer months.
