Little help please!

Scratching my head...
Did the 8 rounds chamber before you had them in the truck?
How were the 8 rounds transported, in what kind of container or ammo wallet?
Is there any obvious physical damage to the brass?

Where the shoulder meets the body on the bad 8 of the brass it is .493/.494ā€¦.supposed to be .489. Yes all rounds chambered fine. During hunting season. No they weren't abused riding around in my ram 2500 (coil springs are smoother riding then the leaf springs) I suppose this might be a coincidence that it was the only the ones in my truck. .490 on 42 that fit.

Is there some way that the 8 that went for the truck ride were not fully sized?
You could put some of the 42 that fit in the same holder and ride them around in the truck in the same place, then after a time, measure and check if they chamber.

Maybe not enough lube on the pad before they went through the resize ???They would of been the first 8 that I ran through it

yeah.....but i would think you would have felt a difference when workin' the press......unless you were distracted, in a bit of hurry, etc. I've been guilty of that rushin' around to get ready for a trip.

I reloaded for deer season 50 rounds of 300 win mag. Winchester cases 68.4 grains RL17 and 180 grain sst. The 8 rounds that sat in my truck/went hunting for 2 weeks won't chamber but everything in the basement is fine. I did check the reloads against other 300s i have and same story. I should add that the problem did not start until I Unpacked the truck for the season. Any idea what could be happening?
Too much general info, not enough specific info. If I have rounds that won't even go in the chamber I'm tempted to throw those out, they won't even go in my rifle. Or did they go almost all the way in and stopped, Or did it look like they went all the way in and the bolt won't close.
Does the extractor latch onto the base?
When you were hunting did you have rounds that chambered? were they these same rounds and they only fail after the trip home?
How far off the lands do you seat the bullet?
All the same bullets?
You found a difference in COAL, was the difference enough to eat up your free bore?
How many rounds down this barrel?

Nope, bottom-line; take them apart and start all over again.
