Alright so give me your recommendations. This is for a September Idaho archery hunt for 2. Trying to find something I can always keep in my bag, and use for rain protection, possibly sleep under if we don't want to go back to camp

I've used this for 5 seasons in Alaska and in the western states

check out Piragus Boundary waters catalog... silnylon tarps. I have the 10x10 and 10x14 1.9 ounce versions.

For ground cover, I just keep two contractor clean up bags in my pack. I have used them as a make shift rain shelter over tree limbs with me under the tree limbs.

DST tarp. I've used mine for September elk in Montana and spring bear for the frequent rains you seem to get in the mountains that time of year. Two trekking poles a few stakes and you're good. Perfect for what you'll be doing.
