I have looked at the howa also and for what you get for the money it seems like a no brainer to me. If it meets your requirements and shoots sub moa. That's the route I would go. If you search the internet you will find them for about 1k.
I was figuring what I'd have to pay to get it ready. Things like tax, FFL fees, scope mounting options, and a new ASR brake plus purchase. Most expensive I've found online is around $1300 for one online, so I figured $1500 was a safe bet.

That's an 8 lb (7 lb 15.4 oz) rifle pictured, add my suppressor to that rifle and I'm 9 lbs even, saves me 5 ounces. I'd steal my Daughter's Howa Alpine as it's a 7.5 lb all up rifle as well, but for some reason she didn't leave it with me when she moved out after graduation. I don't know what she was thinking by not leaving that rifle with me, darn kids.
