Leupold Santiam BX-5 question

I picked up a pair of these in a trade deal. They don't seem to fit me very well. To me it is the eye cup design but not sure. Hard to get rid of the overlapping circles. I was thinking of trimming off some of the rubber on the outer or inner part of eye cups. Anybody have this problem before? Thanks.

If I were you I'd sell them and get something that fits you better. I had a pair of the original Leupold Cascades I bought about 25 years ago and had one of the eye cups break. Sent them to Luepold to fix and they couldn't so they sent me a brand new pair of their newer model. Those didn't fit me very well so I sold them for $150 more than I paid for the original pair and then upgraded to a pair of Zeiss Conquest which were far superior and actually fit me well. I've since upgraded again to the Swaro NL's which are absolutely amazing!

I am going to mess around with them this weekend. Hard to say what I can get out of them.
