I've been waiting for the new leupold rx 3 & 4 to hit the shelf. They are the the incline compensating rangefinders leupold is supposed to put out this year.

I have checked the local stores repeatedly. The rx 1's are on the shelf. Where are the others? Has anybody seen them? Is there a problem with them? Are there other rangefinders with the similar features and price?

Gettin' tired of waiting.

Saw a scope a few days ago. I forget the make, nothing I'd ever heard of. The scope was a side focus model with a large wheel on the focus knob. The idea being the large wheel and focus were calibrated so the side focus could be used for range finding. Anybody seen this, or tried ranging with the objective focus??

The RX I and II have just turned up in the shops here in New Zealand in the last week (May)

I'll be interested in what the responce to these is compared to the new Leica CRF 1200 thats comming out soon

Cheers

Grant

Please let me know when the 4's arrive. I would also be interested in a review of the 3's.

They just keep pushing back the release date!
I'm gettin tired of waiting, it's hard to keep myself from buying a Leica.
Someone said the 3's were out, but I've seen no reports yet.

I looked at the 3's and the bushnell 1500. I didn't take them outside, and range with them. But, the Bushnell had way better glass, field of view, and eye relief.

If the 4 isn't significantly better than the 3, I'll be buying the bushnell.

I was reading the literature on the Bushnell elite with arc. It stated the arhery mode gives true horizontal range out to 100 yards, and the rifle mode gives bullet drop data which is corrected for incline. I want to know if the bushnell will just give the true horizontal range.

Also, I read the rangefinder includes some software. What is the software? Ballistic software? Can I put balllistic data in for various rifle/cartridges?

Can anyone tell me more about this rangefinder?
