Let’s see some coyotes!

Not with the rifle. Trying to clean a few out. First set of the year. Helped he was walking by a trail camera everyday.😁

922 YDS, wow that quite a poke. Good shooting.
Did it take you only one shot.
Way to make that Wheeler rifle preform.
Keep up the good work.
The 425 yds is a great shot also.

I shot just over his back at 985, which tells me that my load is going out of tune from throat erosion. After reranging, I held a 1/2 minute low and centered him.

What a long range hammer.
On another forum, I read your comment on a nitride barrel.
Have. You heard of any other nitride barrels acting the same way?
I am thinking of having a barrel and and action nitrided.

I only know of one other nitrided barrel on a 300 WM. It has maybe 200 rounds and looks pristine. Interestingly, my new CZ 457 in 17 HMR has a nitrided barrel. I'm sure I'll never wear it out even though I shoot it a lot.

I have a nitrided barrel on one of my 7.62x39 AR's and a couple of my 5.56x45 AR's are as well they would run a few thousand rounds any way without a problem. I did notice that the 17 HMR's I've had need cleaned more often, one of them copper fowled really fast and I never did get it to stop fowling, even by hand lapping it, about twenty rounds is all it would ever shoot well.
