I shoot these off the back porch when they harass my dog. I have been using a Ruger 77 in 22-250 with a Broughton barrel, 1 in 8 twist. I can't remember which powder I used for this bunch of loads. It is either H380 or Reloader 17. I am using a 70 grain VLD that seems to work just fine on these close shots. My shots range from 98 to 168 yard.
I DO NOT EVER pass a shot on a coyote.

Well…. It's definitely not light, coming in at just under 10lbs. I think the scope is 2lbs. I wish you you good luck in your build!
