Selling a mint condition Leica ER-5 2-10x50mm scope. These are truly excellent scopes that are optically brilliant and tough as nails. This one has the standard ballistic reticle in the second focal plane, and side focus down to 50 meters.

The scope looks as new in the hand. There are a couple of very small blemishes in the finish. Very faint ring marks only on the left side, and you'll need to rotate the scope under lighting to see them. The finish is among the best in the industry. Low light performance is excellent. The reticle is bold enough to easily see after sunset. The lenses have no scratches or blemishes. The magnification ring rotation is a little stiff indicating tight manufacturing tolerances. The scope has 6-1/4" of mounting length making it a good fit for long-action receivers. There are no issues with this scope. The sale includes the serial number matching box, cleaning cloth and manuals.

Addendum: For anyone interested in how the ER-5 scope compares to the current Leica Amplus 6 offering, below is an AI generated comparison:

--------

When comparing a Leica ER5 to an Amplus 6, the key difference lies in their price point, with the Amplus 6 being significantly more affordable while still offering excellent optical quality, considered a "value" option compared to the premium Leica ER5 which boasts superior features and build quality across the board.

Key points to consider:
Price:
The Amplus 6 is significantly cheaper than the Leica ER5, making it a more budget-friendly choice for hunters looking for quality optics without breaking the bank.
Optical Quality:
Both scopes are known for excellent glass quality, with the Amplus 6 often praised for its clarity and brightness considering its price point, while the Leica ER5 generally offers slightly better image clarity, color rendition, and low-light performance due to its higher-end design.
Features:
The Leica ER5 typically includes more advanced features like superior reticle options, improved illumination controls, and potentially more robust construction compared to the Amplus 6.
Target Audience:
If you are a serious hunter looking for the absolute best in optics and willing to invest in premium features, the Leica ER5 is likely the better choice. However, if you are on a budget and prioritize good optical quality at an accessible price, the Amplus 6 could be a great option.

--------

There you go. My $850 ER-5 is better than the $1,200-$1,600 Amplus 6 in essentially every regard. Thanks for looking.
