I have the Lawton 7000 action , it has a McGowan barrel.on it now in 338 Edge . My question is I want to change out barrels to a Carbon /Proof ect .
I'm wondering what action threads they have ? Remington?

I moved and dont have a Smith close to me . I want to try a Remage set up.
Any help would be great Guys !
Thanks!

If you're going to take that barrel off anyway, remove it now and measure the threads. Even calipers will be close enough for the O.D. and you should have a thread gauge just because. Otherwise it should be 1.062"x 16 tpi just like Remington.;):)

Warning! This thread is more than 5 years ago old.
It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. If however you feel your response is required you can still do so.
