After a long back and forth decision process I've decided to sell my Savage. I bought it new in 2017 and have since put roughly 150 rounds down the pipe. Last fall I bought the HS stock with bottom metal from a member on here and only shot maybe 10-15 rounds since then. I planned on rebarreling and setting it up for a dedicated groundhog gun but school is winding down and I just don't have near as much time as I used to. I have a set of lee ultimate dies that goes with the rifle, and two mags that goes with the hs stock/bottom metal. I also have a bolt through cheek riser that I used on the original stock prior to upgrading to the hs stock but it will sell with the gun as well. Being upfront the hs stock that I bought ended up being a top bolt release model and the original stock (and gun) is a bottom bolt release but everything fits and functions as it should with the hs stock.
Ive shot multiple of the cheap factory stuff, remington, federal, And they shot not the greatest, roughly 1MOA plus or minus a quarter or so. I shot a couple boxes of hornady 168 grain amax out of it and it liked that the best, roughly 1/2 to 3/4 moa if I got sloppy on the last shot. Other than that, I haven't sent any other kinds of ammo down range with it. Groups were all shot with factory Tupperware stock, I never got around to do any kind of group work or worked up a load for it with the hs stock.
This has the heavy contour 308 24" barrel on it.
For the whole kit and kabootle, gun, hs stock, dies, mags, cheek riser $945. Venmo or PayPal ff or pay the fees. I'll split shipping with buyer or I'm also willing to meet in PA (anywhere between Pittsburgh/Butler - western PA to Selinsgrove - easternish PA at an ffl to transfer the rifle.
For the gun in the original stock w/ everything except for the hs stock and mags $585
If the gun sells the hs stock w/ bottom metal and 2 mags $400
First time stamped "I'll take it w/ PM" gets it, everything is now cross listed.
Update: would consider rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader (inline or flintlock), or archery trades (Mathews VXR or VERTIX)
