LabRadar

I've owned one now for I believe close to 5 years. I will never go back to a chrono. It's registered hundreds of shots (from rifles with both brakes and suppressors). I have the enhanced microphone to trigger suppressor shots, but almost never use it (once I figured out where to place the LabRadar when shooting suppressed).

A couple years ago the LabRadar screen went blank and nothing would display. I sent it back to them, and received it back in perfect working condition (no service or part charges). I've had no issues since.

I'd strongly recommend one if you're in the market...

Personally I thought it was reading slow, but I did not take the time to tweek all the settings. Hopefully I will get a chance this summer to compare it with light screens.
Don't know anything about that trigger your speaking about. I'll have to look into it

Once you figure out positioning of the unit and aiming it works great. Although my friends the internal mic never worked from the factory cs sucks but I have the mic and that made his work. There a new one coming out from Caldwell interested to see how it will work comparatively. Get some competition.

I've have been for a while. My MS works great on my rifles and if I'm traveling out of town it's an easy one to use anywhere. I'm sure the labrador is also but the MS is pretty simple

I forgot I also have the magneto and the velocities on ten shots were within 1fps every time. Never used my magnetospeed since.

I bought from an on line vendor in VA I think. I never looked inside, but I imagine it's like a MC tip switch. The recoil rattles a pea, making or breaking the circuit, it plugs into the mic jack.

Edit: JKL Precision

Looking at purchasing a Labradar in near future. I have read some of the reviews on this forum most was helpful but wrote when it first came out. I'm looking for more current information on it as to what bugs have been fixed. I have a Magneto Sport but find it hard to keep proper placement on the barrel of the rifle.
These are all within the last 12 months ...

If you use the second rubber spacer under the strap of the MS it will help sucessful secure the MS to the barrel for many shot syrings
