Anyone with experience with both that can give me a comparison? I've used the guide pants and jacket for years. Just wondering how different they are from each other.

They are fundamentally the same thing, the Axis has a little thicker fleece in the lining and the additional seam taping in target areas. There isn't a huge difference but I liked the Axis for dry snow fall and cold environments with frosty/wet areas not necessarily active precipitation.
I have both jackets. Started with the guide series then I bought the axis to help keep the wind out and a little more warmth when sitting.
