This is a custom Palma style contour with 8 flutes. The diameter at the 5 inch mark is 1.050" and the diameter at the 24 inch mark is .860 inches. $530 shipped

What would shortest finish length be?

That depends on your personal preference. You will have to look at the tape measure and determine that for yourself.

I don't like less than about 1-1/2 inches of barrel in front of the flutes and I like a minimum of about 1-1/4" of straight barrel in front of the action. So to satisfy my taste the minimum would be about 22-1/4 inches.
