Kestrel 5700 Applied Ballistics

Hi Doc,
I was setting up different targets in the 5700 and have a question:
As I understand it, the Elite has the option of setting up different targets (A-E) so that the user can save the parameters for different shooting ranges in the Kestrel. If that's the purpose, wouldn't it be more useful to be able to save different Latitudes in each of targets A-E? As it is now is that changing the LAT in the Environment screen, changes LAT globally and I have to remember the LAT for each saved Target.
Thanks,
Bill

This is for multiple targets on one outing.

Doc,
I got the email yesterday that Kestrel FW 1.09 is going to be available soon. Will that be downloadable from the LINK Ballistic iOS app? How will I know when it is available?
Thanks,
Bill

Yes, the iOS App will update and you will be able to do the FW update from iOS just like the email said.

Right but is it available now and I'm missing how to access it? Will there be a notification in the app when there's an update?

Here is how simple it works:

Just so you know, both versions are now live and available to users.

Hi Doc,
I'm comparing bullet length of a 140gr Hybrid from th library in Kestrel Link Ballistic to the length published in Ballistic Performance of Rifle Bullets. KLB has: 1.407, the book has 1.425.

Is that just lot to lot variance? It doesnt seem to make much difference down range.

Thanks,
Bill

That bullet was updated a couple months back. What is in the library is newer information than in the book.
