I have a set of used Kahles 10x42 binoculars that I don't need. The lenses are scratched, I've included some pics to show this. Never could keep from losing the lens covers until I realized that butler creek flip-ups work great but the deed was already done. At any rate, I don't believe they affect the performance.
Included with the binocs:
kahles neoprene strap
butler creek flip-up caps for the objectives
winged set of eye cups
flat set of eye caps
all paper work with original box
