I'd say, on the powder burn rate chart(s), Accurate No. 7 seems to be the closest to Blue Dot on nearly all of them. Just thinking out loud. Cheers

Yup #7 is the closest. Now if someone would list a reloading recipe for shot shells it might be a great powder for it. I'm just not the person that likes experiment with explosives next to my face.

Sorry guys I'm specifically looking for 12 gage steel waterfowl loads that would be similar to using blue dot. I can find plenty of metallic loads but not for shotgun.

Alliant steel is the best powder for steel shot if you can find it IMHO I've been using it ever since they came out with it

Can't argue with you on Alliant
Steel powder but again it's as rare as frogs hair.
I sure Trump can put a stop to the Ukraine war and maybe Alliant powders will start coming back onto the shelves.
