Wow! Turned out nice! You'll love the 6-06. It's a long range killing machine. Mine has been a joy to own. The beauty of the 6-06 is that's it's so easy to load for. Simply pass a piece of 25-06 brass through a 6-06 FL sizing die and it's ready to go. Additionally, it feed's like butter through a long action.

Looks like you've already found a decent load. With a 28 in barrel you should easily get 3300-3400 fps with 105's. I'm getting a skosh over 3300 with 105 Hybrids and a 26in barrel. Not even stepping on the gas too hard.

Keep us posted on your load progress. Imo, I'd stick with the 105's. It's where the 6-06 really shines.

I keep telling myself I don't need another rifle but, you guys keep posting this junk on the 6-06! I have an old 700, .270 that I keep pushing around in the safe. Plus about 500 pcs. of 25.06 brass. Please save me from myself!!!

Ok guys i did some testing finally. These tests were done with my rifle and an rcbs chrony. I also take no responability for how anyone uses this data. Hornaday brass and 105gr amax cci primers and reloader 22 with a coal of 3.195. These are 3 shot averages and all my loads only had a max of 2-4 fps spread.

45 gr.- 2880
46 gr.- 2972
47 gr.- 2994
48 gr.- 3044
49 gr.- 3177
50 gr.- 3216

There will be alot more testing to come. But im low on re22 and i have some re33 on the way.

I also want to give a big shout out to mojo, his help and knowlege on the cartridge really helped in the process of finishing my gun.

I'm getting 3346 out of my 6x55 cut on a 6BR reamer with the 105 Hornady and H4350, you should have no issues approaching 3500 with the right powder. You will definitely want to move to slower burning powders.

You'll need a drop tube for the RL-33. If not, you'll max the case out pre-maturely. Don't overlook RL-25. I think it may be one of, if not the best, powders for the 6-06.

Im going to try 25, matter of fact im going on a powder run in the next couple days so snag some 22, 25, and 26 (if i can find it), might even snag some retumbo

Ok guys picked up a few lbs of powder tonight on the way home, re22 and re 25. Let the testing continue.
