I did not know John personally, but knew who he was through attendance of RMEF banquets. He lived about 30 miles NW of me. He was a true pioneer. I don't see anybody replacing him.
My regards & prayers for the family! I am saddened to learn of his passing. I talked on the phone with him a few times during the process of him converting a R-SBH to .475 LB: I will do my part to keep that one in the family! Life is tenuous! Be prepared! As this is a specialty handgun section…. I thought this was the place to post this.
I just learned from a gentleman over at 24hourcampfire that John was working at one of his machines and just collapsed. There was someone there when it happened. No further information at this time!
The revolver handgun world has lost an icon!
RIP John…..you will be missed! memtb
