Hello All,

This is a copied post from the hunting side of the forum as I didn't realize there was a suppressor section...

I'm shopping for my first suppressor and have been strongly considering the Rugged Alaskan 360. However, someone mentioned the Uller from J Sip & Sons. Apparently it's over 8" of which half of it goes over the barrel and thus only half of it extends in front. So before I start ordering a couple short barrels, I'd like to get some input on these as it would gain me a couple inches of barrel length.
Specs I'm looking for...
  • Hunting rig for elk and deer
  • Looking at building a 338 Sherman Mega or Max plus some smaller calibers
  • Currently have a 280AI and 300WM that have CarbonSix with Sendero profiles
  • I desire a can that is super short, weighs nothing, Hollywood quiet, and rated for up to 338 Lapua - While I'm dreaming, I want to get drawn for a Bigfoot
Anywho, does anyone have experience with the Uller or J Sip? I'm a bit nervous ordering an item I'm stuck with and can never sell from a company and product there are no reviews for.

TYIA,
BB

I have shot and AB Raptor on a 338 Edge with reflex and it was nice. If I was looking for a big bore can for a 338 or 375 I would probably go AB Raptor. I also like the 36m or 46m because they are modular.

I personally own a Deadair Primal which is a 45 cal big bore can and like it alot except for the weight. I also added the Deadair ebrake to it to help with sound and recoil though, so that didn't help length or weight. It is hearing safe though I feel on my 300 win mag which is what I mount it on mostly.

Justin is the owner I've known him for years. He is a good man and I'll share his number if you would like to give him a call. I am working on getting one of his suppressors as well. My son in law's family has several of them and all I hear is how awesome they are. They were recently shooting a 338 something and my son in law didn't have any ear protection on and said he could not hardly believe how much it reduced the thunder. Let me know if you need his number. God bless America 🇺🙏🏼🇺🇸

The AB Raptor looks great, however the minimum barrel length is 24" for 338 magnum's. I'm wanting to be in the 18-20" range.

Thank you, that's great to hear. Their contact info is on the website, so I can get it from there as well. Appreciate the offer. I've sent them a message via their contact page and just waiting to hear back.
