It's a whiskey tasting kinda of night ...

Despite my desire to try other bourbons, Elijah Craig remains a go to. I picked up a bottle of Elijah Craig Toast to try this week.
If you or @Trm82 run across a Elijah Craig barrel proof from just about any run please give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Larceny barrel proof are good, but a little hit or miss. ECBPs are just good and better.

I had an "Old Fashion" the other night. Don't like bourbon, but made like that, it was yummy. Woodford reserve rye vs regular had a very different flavor profile with the bitters.

Agree with this. Costco often has the toasted but sometimes has the barrel proof. It's worth the wait!

Very similar to 10 yr Old Charter if you ever had it!
Old Charter was one of my dad's favorites. He always mixed with ginger ale. Probably the first whiskey I ever tasted. I would always sneak a pull or two from his solo cup when he wasn't paying attention. I was around 8 or 9 at the time and it didn't take much. It was also his cough medicine liquor. I received quite a few doses of liquor, lemon, and sugar or honey as a kid.

My first pour of EC Toasted Barrel was last night. Attempted to compare a few bourbons I have on hand. I never made it past 4. All were quite tasty.
