Had some Buffalo Trace just the other night, this bottle is much better than the last one I had strangely enough.....might go back and get the rest of the batch from this one ha ha. Unfortunately tonight.......at work!
Well it's not good at all. Would rather drink Proper 12 and that's borderline urine in a green bottle!Never heard of the French making whiskey!
Me too and had to do some research >>> https://thewhiskeywash.com/reviews/whisky-review-bastille-1789-blended-whisky/Never heard of the French making whiskey!
I know the Japanese make a fine "scotch type" whiskey, but I'll stick to Scotch and Irish for my taste!Me too and had to do some research >>> https://thewhiskeywash.com/reviews/whisky-review-bastille-1789-blended-whisky/
Yes, they do. When I was stationed in RAF Lakenheath, we took a tour at the Glenturret Distillery in Scotland, bought four bottles of their 25 YO to bring home, and wish I had more.I know the Japanese make a fine "scotch type" whiskey, but I'll stick to Scotch and Irish for my taste!
LOL, agreed!French should stick to Cognac and Armagnac
I'll take what's left In the Glenlivet bottleThis is what's on the menu for tonight. I've had the Glenlivet but not the New Riff. I'll report back! Cheers View attachment 323304
If you like rye and have an opportunity to buy/try, the New Riff Balboa Rye and also their Malted Rye are both very good.Been enjoying high rye bourbons lately, and this one is straight delicious for only a 4 yr age statement

Hey now, I called dips on the Glenlivet! The New Riff was nothing I'd drink again. Just a bit of spice and alcohol heat and not a lot of depth or anything to make me write anything interesting in this post. Switched back to Glenlevit. Cheers
