Took the family up to the mountains near by so our son could play in the snow for a while, and enjoyed a good arabica bean dark roast colombian brew.

Waking up with some locally procured hippy coffee (it's not bad) and starting to become human again while looking out the back yard towards our 1700 yard range, and thinking i was going to get started with the day's work,
When the lovely lady informed me we had a fragrant
visitor in the trap (there goes that mood haha)
So off i go with trap and said cute, stinky subject to the back 40 to put it out of it's (and mine) misery.
Well, the deed is done but I can't say I'm not wearing some new cologne as my usual method of keeping it calm while transporting and opening the door wasnt 100% effective. At least it wasnt a full on direct blast like I've had before (walk out the back door to an orfice jetting, giving me racing stipes of stink)!
We have a feral cat problem due to the kooky neighbor lady feeding and housing strays in her barn, so the trap stays set all the time. Not only are they hell on chickens, but they also are always fighting with my cat trying to run him off his own territory.
Me thinks the trap is going to have to air out a bit before I can set it again
I need more coffee.

Oh good grief this reminds me of a guy I know who had the previous day seen a skunk going into his shed on the farmyard. Those feral cats you mention could be useful, he got one of his farm cats chasing a laser pointer and "guided" the cat into the shed. Better the cat than him! When no commotion ensued after a few minutes he went on in and sure enough, the skunk had kept on moving and there was no trouble.

Figure I should update my own thread ha ha.
New home, new views! Closer to the mountains now....just wish it would start to warm up, daily high's in the single digits and negatives are getting old. Come on warmer weather! I want to get in those mountains and start scouting out fuzzy bucks!
