I've heard guys cuss it along with the .243 and 25WSM's. Sorry but I don't it as all that much in overbore. I wish they gone with a 33 degree shoulder, and yet kept the same over all length. The 28 degree neck puts the T.P. right near the case mouth.
Looking in the Hornaday manual, I see 3500fps with a 75 grain bullet, or about 125fps faster than a 22-250 AI. Looks to me like you'd be better off with the use of 70 grain and heavier bullets to make better use of the four or five more grains of powder.
The .223 WSM and it two brothers would probably be better in a single shot action, but not everybody likes the single shot. I'm big on them!
