Last month I bought a set of Remington's (steel) version. They were highs, on sale for $20 shipped! Much heavier than my Talleys, but appear very rugged. I got silver and they look nice, even with the plastic insert that permits you to use them with either 1" or 30mm scopes; will try to post pic when time allows. Only gripe is the threads on the bottom halves were coated with paint and I had to force the screws through them first (didn't have a tap that fit); still kind of stiff turning the screw, making it hard to judge torque on the scope tube. They sell them through Rem.'s site, but I've seen them at either Duncan or MC Sports, too.
