Same is true for HuntStandWith OnX maps you can overlay elevation contours on satellite image.
Have just contacted On-X for 3rd if 4th time about several properties that property lines have not been corrected, some as long as two years ago. I personally sent them a property deed of my property and these have not been corrected, to date. Since it is the hunters responsibility to confirm they are on / or off private property I would have great concern using On-X as a go to in a hunting scenario. They tout that they have up dated info. But I know that I have owned my property in Sutton county, Tx for 15 months and it still does not show up on their maps. I have even gone to the point of sending On X my deed info. Months ago and still no corrections. I do not know I would trust them for up date information on property ownership lines.
Now you may have used it for a while and say you've never had an issue, but maybe you just have not been caught on private that has not been updated yet.
I doubt you will ever get anywhere sending real estate information as an individual. There's no way they have the manpower to respond to every real estate transaction and land survey in the entire country on an individual basis, especially considering it can months for the county clerk to get the information updated. The only way verify the legitimacy of the information they receive is to wait for the updated plat maps (which could still contain errors) and plat maps are usually only updated biannually. Add to that the fact that the government has no incentive to send updated info to a private company and I'm not surprised that some of their info is a couple years out-of-date. IMO OnX is pretty much the best resource available to hunters, especially for the price. I would have a small fortune wrapped up in plat maps at $40 PER COUNTY and that information could STILL be over two years outdated or contain other major errors, like my parents land split that was never filed properly over three years ago.Have just contacted On-X for 3rd if 4th time about several properties that property lines have not been corrected, some as long as two years ago.
