I recently bought a table saw to finish my shed. Now that it's done, I am getting bored making picture frames for my wife. I thought I would try and make a hard case for my Edge since it is so long.

Any thoughts on what material to make it out of? Whatever it is made of, I would like to be able to cut it on this saw.

Thanks.

I'll bet you could get a metal saw blade for your saw and order some diamond plate and 3/4 aluminum angle pieces and make a dang nice case. Rivet that sucker together and it might work out good for you. I had to buy a long aluminum muzzleloader case from Cabelas for my Edge after the airline beat the living hell out of my other gun case. It might be kinda fun making your own case.

The key is to use a piano hinge which makes life simple and is very effective.
