Idahoans sound off.

Idaho Falls here originally from Lewiston moved down in 2009 spend most of my hunting time up in Salmon country feels more like home then lewiston or idaho falls

Juliaettea here. Fresh in from Kalifornia. Please don't hold it against me, I moved for a reason ( more than one actually).

Anyone willing to show me the ropes around here? I have to say I have never been treated so well as people treat me here. It may be the Gem State, but it could just as easily be the Friendly State.

Not much for ropes around here simply jump in w/questions and they'll get answered.

In which part of the sport do you have interest?

BTW, where ya hidin' in the Gem State.

Let me be the first to see if you have any interest in pack goats? Hows 'bout a donkey?:D:rolleyes::D

I'm in Juliaetta just outside Lewiston and Orofino.

I like to hunt deer which was pretty much it in Kali. I used to hunt hogs until the ranchers all signed contracts with hunting clubs. I couldn't see paying steep dues for harvesting what was basically a nuisance.
I have interest in deer, elk, pronghorn, etc. I also like to hunt coyote and other critters. Getting a wolf is high on my list. I know they are tough, but I have seen a couple driving around the Waha/Winchester area.

I also relly need to know where to go and shoot. I don't mind going to a range now and again but I prefer someplace to just go and blast on occasion.

Hmmm, any idea of where they were going and what kind of vehicle they were in.

Down here that are pretty much Ram fans. :D

:):):) Too funny! "Anything you say can and will be used against you."

Looked like a black '60's vintage Chrysler. Hard to see through the tinted windows of their car, but I'm sure it was wolves.

I was detachment commander at Grangeville and spent some time in Orofino at Bravo Company. Beautiful country. Good long range shooting is more on the Salomon river breaks but if you head toward Lolo there is good open country up high there too. Worth the drive for LR mountain shooting.
As far as hunting wolves, they tend to drive to Lewiston on Friday nights and hang out at the bars. Good hunting for a big bad wolf right around 0200.

Thank you for the tips!!!
