Did you close the gap between bayonet and bore? Looking at the first pics that's too much to get a reading. If you closed it up that's a great idea.

Looks good. What is the smaller plate just under the main mount plate just under the barrel?

The correct power supply would have a filter in it to remove the noise from the 60 hertz you plug into as well as any other noise in the line. Usually a capacitor of some kind would do that but knowing the correct uf for the frequencies your trying to clean up would help.

Yeah it would be nice if they mentioned a freq trap necessary for correct use!!!
