Reload the 300 win and shoot the factory 300wby. The Weatherby in factory fodder will soot more than adequate for 300yd shots. If the younger one is into reloading the 300 winny has lots more potential in a sammi chamber. Even more if you get that rifle rebarreled or set back with a match chamber.
