Just from the pic it looks like a coywolf, (or whatever Wildlife calls the ones that crossbred).

Good job! The coyote invasion east of the MS river has simply exploded through the past 2 decades, and it has cost a lot of game their young. The old family farms in the South that had numerous quail, turkeys, rabbits, etc have seen their numbers dwindle, and some have no small game left. Coyotes are everywhere and their songs echo through the nights.
Snaring, trapping etc is a dying art, so I am glad to see a few people who still can. Reminds me of my youth.
