HOWA 1500 LA Ejector Spring

I am in need of a HOWA 1500 LA Ejector spring. My buddy built the rifle for bench shooting and cut the spring so the spent cases would just sit when ejected. My purpose is hunting, so I want the spent brass to eject. I called HOWA and they will only provide the part for warranty work for a first owner. I have looked at ebay and several other places and cannot find the part by itself.

I appreciate it. My local gunsmith found a spring in his parts box that worked perfectly, so I really had forgotten I posted it.
