How old is this deer

I'd say 5.5-6.5. I'm not a mule deer guru but have looked at thousands of whitetail bucks for aging over the years. So not sure how they compare.

3-4 years at tops, 140 at very top...juvi that needs some good wet spring/summers for growth and needs 3 years or so in order to be serious. If just looking for some carne stay off the trigger and let him grow!

I was invited to mule deer hunt last season, but medical reasons prevented me from going.

This one has been showing on the trail cam. My buddy's section in NW TX butts up against the Cap Rock Canyon State Park, chances it getting poached is very low. Likely I will see it next season.

Question to the members: What is your best guess on the age.
