How much recoil does a 7mm am have

what carlber would have the same recoil as a 7mm am in a 12 pound rilfe

Too much. Depends on the weight of the gun and weather you have a muzzle break! I had a Remington 700 in 7mm and it hurt to shoot but went to a browning in 7mm with the boss and 2/3 less recoil.

My 7mm AM has almost no recoil. Infact I forgot the it even kicked. It wieghs about 10lbs. I load it with 160gr accubonds at 3575fps. The APS PAINKILLER brake is the really incredible. But if I had to comare it it another rifle, it would be somewhere in the nighborhood of my Tikka T3 in a 22-250

Here is a video of the recoil with shoulder just barely touching. The load is a 200 gr Wildcat and max H US869. Barrel has a DE four slot brake.
