How many gearheads on LRH ?

Over the years I have built many different cars but always wanted a 32, so when I found a body and frame rails I decided to build It from the frame up. Like others, I did everything, welding, painting, the engine, the upholstery and all decorative metal work. (Bumpers, gas tank headers and side pipes Etc) this took me 2 years.

I recently replaced the 600 HP Nitrous system with two 4 barrel carbs for a more controllable street use. And it will still move faster than my reflexes. Will enclose a picture when I can get it to work.

I took my son for a ride in the 72 right after the turbo install. He has ridden many times in quick cars. He grew up riding shotgun in my 68 Camaro that was a solid 10 sec car if I could ever get it to launch right.
I only hit 6 lbs of boost on a quick little hit on the road in front of the house. He got out of the car with his hands on his knees, feeling nauseous! He is scared of this one, lol.

Joel , that flying toilet was a simple set up . it really worked . by any chance did you race super chevy at maple grove through the 1990's into early 2000 ? I was there just about every year , could have ran into you . I met a lot of nice people while I was racing

Jim~
Maple Grove was my home track. I ran there from '90-'05.. my last race was Super Chevy. I made it down to the last 8 cars. I was the only door car left. I ran about dead on the number all weekend with lights between .500-.510. Both the car and I were on that weekend. Got beat by Ed Quay.
It took me a while to figure out how to tune the Toilet, but once I got it, I never messed with it. Absolutely deadly. I still have the whole set up.

I had a good super chevy one year too . I got down pretty deep , Sunday morning it was pouring rain . I'll guess around 20 or 25 of us split the money .

Joel , that baby is nice and clean , it looks like another beauty ! if you raced there in those years I've probably talked with you . those were about the years I was racing hard . I'd often race maple grove sat evenings and tow back to Beaver springs and race Sunday . raced at Numedia Max Nayler ( spelling ?) ran it then .raced at Mason Dixon Maryland a fair amount . towed into Ohio a few times too . I always wanted to race the Halloween classic at Norwalk Ohio , I never did though . I had things pretty well worn out by then . that racing gets in your blood , man it's a hard to get away from .

a couple pics of the Toilet and dual carbs . this was a snap apart car . a dzus tool and 15 minutes it was apart .

Jim,
No doubt we ran into each other at one of those tracks. I ran all of them at the same time you were.
Maple Grove, Beaver, and Mason Dixon were where I spent my weekends.
Here's a few pictures of the car when I raced it. You may recognize it...
Also a few pictures of the transformation to street car...

yea boy , the car sure looks familiar . the pic of the car leaving is at Beaver springs , that's Steve Sweitzer's advertisement in the background . gorgeous car , Joel .

there were a couple vegas there . if I remember right maybe even 2 vega wagons . I seem to remember a blue vega about the same color as your camaro . I seem to remember it being a decent car . nice clean maybe a 10 second car

You remember the Blue Vega well. It was owned by Jim Shaffer, was clean like my Camaro, and close to the same color. He ran 10's with a 383 for years.
Good memory.
