I have had pretty good luck with my EL range binoculars. I have pulled ranges to over 1800 yards. They are alot more powerful than my geovid hd's that i had previous. I can get pretty consistent within 3 try ranges to about 1200, which is really all I ever need for distance. one thing I highly recommend with any RF is determine exactly what part of the aiming circle or box your unit pulls from. do this by shooting the range at a control tower. purposely hold off the aim point in all directions until you start pulling a reading. for my EL range I find the top 40% of the aiming circle is where the range pulls from. that also helps me get readings on animals that have terrain close by, ie rolling sage brush. I can point that top half of reticle exactly where I want to pull the range from
