How do I shim a swivel stud

Long story short:
I had a second front swivel stud installed in my stock, but it came loose. It now rotates past the centerline of my stock before bottoming out in the threaded sleeve, so now it dossn't align properly when it is finger tightened. I use this stud to mount my snipepod, so I need it to be as close to aligned as feasible.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best way solve this? I was thinking some sort of spacer in the bottom, along with some loctite on the threads might work, but am open to other ideas.

Has anyone run into this before?

For the by pod stud, I drill a hole through the stock and install a stud bolt and nut for a positive hold. The nut has to be flush with the barrel channel as not to interfere with the barrel. This makes for a very secure mounting and if you need a shim you can use the washers mentioned.
