How bad is the 7 backcountry?

You can order a 277 fury pre-fit and have it in a month or 2.
I see there are reamers and I know it's SAAMI, and dies are available now also...but cases are around, but look like once fired, some saying they don't have the steel head, but have a brass one. Sounds like it's ahead of the 7 BC as it's SAAMI.

Would seem that if the peak alloy is better, maybe sig would license it for their cases? Certainly seem to be a better option than the 7BC, as I recall the Fury is based on the 308 as I recall, so that might be a good thing. I need to finish my 6.5 PRC first. After I have a man bun I can look at Fury! LOL

Yeah, that's a possibility. Numbers for LR-308 dwarf the bolt actions though. I have though if you had a barrel for 277 and a barrel for 8.6 blackout, that's pretty much all one would need. I don't have an 8.6 blackout in a bolt yet.

But what has the Fury done? Has anyone got near 80,000 psi ???
I'm sure plenty of people have gone well past 80k since you can't really read any pressure on it.
Plenty of people are reloading it with the steel case head. It's available as surplus with the primers in them and bullets pulled. About the cheapest brass out there.

The fury is a 270-08ai with a steel case head. The military picked it and federal didn't even make it to consideration with their case. So it must suit their needs better. It is certainly better for the hand loader. It's already been wildcatted into just about every iteration you can possibly turn a 308 case into. Barrels, dies, brass have been available for maybe 2 years now.

I wasn't sure if they're deploying it, or if they're testing. Maybe they're testing it in the field. I've never been in the military, although I have known a lot of them. I don't know if I would be good in the military, I'm just not good at being told what to do. Not to dis them, but it's a way of life.

Are people getting 80,000 psi? I had heard people were getting more like 70,000 psi which would be much less impressive since many magnums get 65,000 psi today.
